Our Testing Experience
First Impressions
When I first unpacked the Dell Gaming OptiPlex Desktop, I was impressed by how clean and fresh it looked, especially since it’s a renewed product. The RGB LED lights on the front panel caught my eye immediately. Using the remote to change the colors and adjust the speed was simple and fun—I could quickly switch between different lighting modes depending on my mood. Setting everything up with the 24-inch HDMI monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset was straightforward, and the whole package felt ready to go right out of the box.
Daily Use
Over the next few days, I used the desktop for both work and gaming. The Intel Core i7 and 16GB RAM made multitasking smooth—I could have multiple apps open without any lag. When I played games like CS:GO and GTA V, the GeForce GT 1030 graphics card handled medium settings well, giving me decent frame rates and a smooth experience. The keyboard and mouse were comfortable for long sessions, and the headset delivered clear sound, which made gaming more immersive. The WiFi connection was stable, so I didn’t have to worry about interruptions during online play.
Key Features in Action
The RGB lighting was not just for looks; it actually made the setup feel more personal and fun. Adjusting the lighting speed and patterns helped keep things fresh while gaming late into the night. The GeForce GT 1030’s performance was solid for popular games, proving it’s a good choice for casual and enthusiast gamers who don’t need ultra settings. The 512GB SSD made loading times fast, whether booting up Windows 11 Pro or launching games and applications. Overall, these features combined made using the PC enjoyable and efficient.
Long-Term Performance
After using the Dell Gaming OptiPlex Desktop for a few weeks, I found it reliable and consistent. It didn’t slow down or show signs of overheating during long gaming sessions. The refurbished unit felt just as capable as a brand-new machine, which gave me confidence in its quality. The 90-day warranty was a nice safety net, but I didn’t encounter any issues that required support. This desktop proved to be a strong performer for both gaming and everyday tasks, making it a great value in the renewed market.

Best renewed PC on Amazon and awesome customer service.
This pc is a great value. Windows 11 and fast. I unfortunately had to return it because I didn’t realize it is a SSF and my upgraded GPU will not work. My bad. They have been very understanding and cooperative through the exchange/return process and I am very pleased with the customer service and communication! Looking forward to receiving my new full size tower so I can install my GPU and get back to flying MSFS 20. Highly recommend their products as they are truly “Refreshed”.

Nice computer but don’t look at the product pics
Computer is fine, works great so far is a fairly easy set up. A little concerned that the the stand on the monitor and the screws to the back didn’t line up properly and the cover on the back of the monitor is a little loose. But so far it’s working as intended. Do not however be fooled by the product pics because they clearly show a headset included and after trying to chat online and then finally calling customer service, their explanation is that it’s just an approximation of what the computer would use not what’s actually included because it doesn’t say it’s included in the description. Then change the pics.

Great value, but not for casual users.
Needed a gaming computer for AOE2 DE, but didn’t want to spend very much. Took a $400 chance on this.Despite being a Dell, this refurbished unit is not as plug and play as a brand new computer. For example, the video card was not working due to some sort of driver conflict. Uninstalling the card in settings, restarting, then reinstalling the drivers solved the issue. Not a big deal if you have experience with swapping PC components, but I imagine most buyers would need to call the tech support or just return it. To be fair, I had this issue in the past with a brand new HP.The computer came with an external usb Wi-Fi adapter. It works well, but many buyers might not know what it is.Inside the case, there is plenty of room for expansion. The cable routing could be cosmetically neater, but should not cause any functional problems. To conclude, it is a great value for buyers willing to do a little tinkering, or who know someone who does.

AN EXCELLENT CHOICE. ECONOMICAL, QUIET & EFFICIENT.
After careful comparison shopping, I just purchased the DELL Optiplex 7050 to replace an old Dell optiplex 7010 due to a sudden electrical surge caused by an unexpected outage which rendered my old desktop unusable. I also needed to upgrade from a Microsoft windows 10 to the Microsoft 11 Pro. I was originally going to purchase a brand new Dell for $1,600 with all of the bells and whistles, on credit, but decided to go with Amazon Renewed as with my old one, which I’m glad I did. I only use DELL, because in my opinion, it’s the strongest of all desktop computers, in longevity & efficiency – it gets the job done. As with many of us struggling entrepreneurs on a very tight budget, it was the smartest and most economical choice. My new Dell optiplex 7050 with 32 gb RAM, 128 MB Intel graphics & 3.4 processor was a sufficient choice for my small graphics design business, for now. It arrived in 2 days, properly packed, secured and wrapped like a brand new computer. clean, no scratches, stains or dents – like new. Easy installation, quick, fast, QUIET, affordable and efficient. It’s also small, compact and lightweight. It also included a free 5.0 USB Dongle, keyboard and mouse. I only needed the desktop as I already had an adapter, keyboard, speakers, cords, mouse and monitor screen which were compatible with my new Dell Optiplex 7050. The transfer was flawless. I’m going to purchase another one, as well as purchasing an additional one upgrading to a wireless, because the price & specs is just too good to pass up. I will update in about a month.

PERFECT Budget Solution for Church Presentation / Streaming
This PC arrived a day early and was even better than I expected. Setup was super simple. I already have a Microsoft Account so once the PC updated itself out of the box, and I entered in the creds for Microsoft, I was off and running. The SSD make installing the extra software super fast. This PC will be absolutely PERFECT for my needs, which is live-streaming our church services. The Intel HD 630 onboard graphics processor will be perfect for streaming 1080p @ 30fps. Plus, this machine can also drive 3-4 monitors and it came with a bonus VGA port that I wanted, but didn’t know it was going to have so that was a SUPER win. We have 2 monitors and a projector. This machine is beefy enough with its 32GB RAM and i-7 processor to run our Presentation software while simultaneously running OBS to stream out to Facebook and YouTube. My favorite part is that it did not break the bank. This is a budget solution that delivers perfectly and will function well into the future. 10 USB port with both 2.0 and 3.0 means it will be compatible with anything I hook up to it long into the future as well.

West Coast Customer –
It was easy to set up and works well. Big Fish games play smoothly. The computer is not noisy during normal operation. It’s small enough to fit behind my monitor. I’m happy with it and hope it lasts for years to come. I appreciate that there are people who upgrade these oldish computers and offer them up to us at reasonable prices

2025 0820/UPDATE: It’s been one month since I received this computer, I thought, I should write an update on its performance. It’s supposed to be a Dell Optiplex, 32GB RAM and 1T Hard Disk PC with 3.60GHz i7 7700 processor.Honestly, it doesn’t behave any better than my old desktop, which I couldn’t upgrade to Windows 11. I am also experiencing a lot of issues with Office 365, which I subscribe to annually. I have done some research on the issues, and it appears many are experiencing similar issues with Office 365 on Windows 11. Overall, therefore, ZERO complaints so far about this particular purchase. I chose this PC because the specs matched my old Dell Inspiron (i.e. i7-7700, 3.6GHz). I definitely recommend purchasing used computers from this seller. I will return for another update only if the machine stops working within a year (if it dies on me before August 2026).INITIATE THOUGHTS ON THE PURCHASE:Received it on Thursday, July 17th, 2025 as promised. Packaged was A++. Dell Optiplex i7-7700 with 32GB also came clean and ready to use. Had to go through the usual windows 11 install and Office 365 install. Then, got a list of drivers, approx 12 of them, that needed to be updated, which I did, hassle free. All the specs were accurate, as advertised. I set-up the computer and tested all the ports. VGA port on the computer is male, not female as I expected it. The rest of the ports appear to be working fine. Now, all I have to do is WAIT to see how long the computer lasts me.So far, works great! Am happy with my purchase. If it lasts me 3 years, I will be super happy and will revise (upgrade) my rating. But, for now, shipper gets 5/5 stars. Product gets 3/5 stars (like I said, it is a renewed PC, let’s see how long it lasts because others have complained it stopped working after 1 week and gave a “blue” screen). Fingers crossed all will be well.
