I have used this charging station for a month now. This exactly what I was looking for and is almost perfect. It helped me declutter all the cables from my night stand. Only criticism is that the plastic that is made of feels somewhat cheap, but is does what is supposed wonderfully. Cannot recommend this enough.

Helpful Organizational Tool!

My parents penisula in the kitchen was a mess of surge protectors, multiple chargers, etc and this mostly solved that problem.Retractable action feels reliable and magnet works well to keep the termnals tidy.Fast charging where supported (Phones/tablets) but also compatible with finiky devices (i.e. older Amazon Kindle e-readers, headphone charging cases, etc.)VERY DISSAPOINTING: the base has a soft (not mechanical) switch that turns EVERYTHING OFF: the internal outlets where the modular chargers are connected AND VERY DISSAPOINTINGLY the outlets on the back. This switch is very easy to press when cleaning, bumping. EVEN WORSE: in the event of a power failure the switch has no memory and defaults to OFF until you manually press it again. This is almost a deal killer to me, but given that the performance is so good, I decided to wait and see.I would have liked a rotating plug as well as a shorter main cord to the wall too to make this more convenient.

Trying it out, heavy duty cable, seems to work.
This think is okay – the cable to the wall is thick and stiff and heavy – the plug sticks out away from the wall so that does not recommend it. Rather than return I thought I’d try the thing out and see if the retractable cables help decrease the mess on the bedside table. But the cable to the outlet is so heavy it’s impractical – yo can’t coil it to shorten it for example. It may need all that juice for the chargers – so if you have room for the plug and cable it would work. It appears well made overall. I wish it were more table friendly.
